Become a Recovery Coach

SHE RECOVERS® is currently the largest online platform available to women seeking recovery, new to recovery, or in long term recovery and looking to more fully realize their potential. Building a strong recovery coach community is one of the major components of the She Recovers growth strategy.

We are all recovering from something.

Coaching can benefit anyone looking to step into a healthier, more authentic version of themselves.

One of the Guiding Principles of SHE RECOVERS® is that women need to be supported to find and follow individualized pathways and patchworks of recovery. We think that coaching offers the solid support that women need to figure out which “recovery” pathways and patchworks will work for them. Certified Professional Recovery Coaches (CPRCs) help people to focus on their strengths, reconnect to their own inner capacity and resilience, and move forward with setting and achieving recovery and life goals.

About the Program

SHE RECOVERS® has partnered with Dr. Jean Lacour’s online, self-paced IAPRC Recovery Coach Training Program to offer the SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designation Program (SRCD) for women who want to coach other women in or seeking recovery. The IAPRC components of the program consist of 120 Hours (Certified Professional Coach + Certified Professional Recovery Coach + Live Skills Training). After completing the IAPRC coaching credentials, coaches go on to earn the SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designation (SRCD). The 10 Hour SRCD Module is also self-paced and online.

Both the IAPRC and the SRCD training (the latter is offered specifically to women-identifying individuals) is available to international students. We are already connecting with and supporting women all across the globe! As we repeatedly say around here, we’re stronger together.

The Purpose

Of the 10 Hour SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designation Module is to:

PROVIDE

Recovery Coaches and other qualified professionals with a solid foundation in and clear understanding of the SHE RECOVERS® philosophy and approach to recovery through an in-depth introduction to the SHE RECOVERS® Intentions and Guiding Principles.

ENCOURAGE

Recovery Coaches to contemplate the SHE RECOVERS® Intentions and Guiding Principles in a way that is personalized and meaningful for them as individuals. Coaches are invited to share their understanding of the principles and how they will incorporate them into their coaching practice.

SUPPORT

Recovery Coaches to start to develop an implementation plan for launching their coaching business. The SRCD training invites women to define their niche and identify their ideal client focus, set up their online presence and think through their initial marketing plans.

Recognition

As a SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designate

Once you have completed the IAPRC training and the SRCD Module – you become a SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designate. At that time you will be invited to join the SHE RECOVERS® Coach Collaborative (SRCC), a network of SHE RECOVERS coaches available to support and mentor you as you launch and build your career.

Much of what we are building towards with our SHE RECOVERS® Coach Collective is still in early stages but some of what we have in mind includes:

  • You will be supported during and after your training in our SHE RECOVERS® Coach Training Support Group (on FB).
  • The opportunity for you to be highlighted on our SHE RECOVERS® platform – through guest blog posts, live Facebook events, through promotion as SHE RECOVERS® Coach of the Day announcements on Facebook, and more.
  • The opportunity for our coaches to represent SHE RECOVERS® in their home communities (Sharing Circle strategy being finalized).
  • You can apply to earn additional certifications to lead various SHE RECOVERS® offerings (online or in person).

As much as anything – we believe that we are offering our coaches is the opportunity to co-create – with SHE RECOVERS® – the future of SHE RECOVERS®!

For more information please visit the SHE RECOVERS® Coach Designation program page on the IAPRC website. If you have questions, email Dawn. We would love to have you as a charter member of our SHE RECOVERS® Coach Collaborative.

NOTE: If you have other professional recovery coaching training and experience, or life coach training as well as another professional designation (nurse, social worker, psychotherapist, physician, etc) you may be eligible to take the SRCD training as a stand-alone program. If you would like to learn whether you are eligible for this stand-alone offering, please email Dawn.
